Kapitel 3: Der Wahnsinn Psychologischer Zeit
Aus Der Buch: Jetzt! - Die Kraft der Gegenwart
- Eckart Tolle

Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Put your hand on a stove for a minute and it seems like an hour. Sit with that special girl for an hour and it seems like a minute. That's relativity."
- Albert Einstein

...I felt the universe suddenly quake, and that a golden spirit sprang up from the ground, veiled my body, and changed my body into a golden one. At the same time my body became light. I was able to understand the whispering of the birds, and was clearly aware of the mind of God, the creator of the universe.
At that moment I was enlightened: the source of budo is God's love - the spirit of loving protection for all beings... Budo is not the felling of an opponent by force; nor is it a tool to lead the world to destruction with arms. True Budo is to accept the spirit of the universe, keep the peace of the world, correctly produce, protect and cultivate all beings in nature.
"Around 2am as I was performing misogi, I suddenly forgot all the martial techniques I had ever learned. The techniques of my teachers appeared completely new. Now they were vehicles for the cultivation of life, knowledge, and virtue, not devices to throw people with."
"The Way of the Warrior has been misunderstood. It is not a means to kill and destroy others. Those who seek to compete and better one another are making a terrible mistake. To smash, injure, or destroy is the worst thing a human being can do. The real Way of a Warrior is to prevent such slaughter - it is the Art of Peace, the power of love."
- Morihei Ueshiba
- Lama Deer, Sioux
Before our white brother came to make civilized people of us, we didn’t have any prisons. Out of that reason, we didn’t have any criminals, since without prisons, there cannot be any criminals. We neither had locks or keys and because of that, we did not have any thieves. If someone was so poor that he did not have any horse, tent, or blanket, then it was all given to him for free. We were too uncivilized to give importance to personal belongings. The only reason we strived for belongings, was for to give it away. We did not know what money was, so the value of a man was not measured by his wealth. We did not have any documented laws, lawyers or politicians. And because of that, we could not cheat each other. It was really too bad for us, before the Whiteman came to make civilized people of us Sioux Indians. And I cannot explain how it was possible for us to live without thus most fundamental things, as we were told to be so necessary, for to make a civilized society

That which is really valuable
Listen to my voice,
You powerful mountains,
Listen to my voice,
You green forest, listen
You clear roaring rivers
You are the most wonderful, I have seen.
Listen to me,
You fools and worshiper of power, listen to the wisdom of the ancients.
You who live in silver towers and is bending your knees for gold.
You do not know what is really valuable,
You are like small children,
For to satisfy your trivial, flimsy greed,
You mess up the world.
Trough away this foolishness and bring your thoughts back to reason.
Let the veil fall from your eyes and you will see that which is really valuable, is heir for every one of us.
Read this lines trough again, friends
And it will bring your life more happiness.
- Richard Sings Alone, Blackfoot, Native American Indian
A poem by Charlie Chaplin about the topic self-love. He has written it on his 70th Birthday (on April 16, 1959):
As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth. Today, I know, this is "AUTHENTICITY".
As I began to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody
As I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it, and even though this person was me. Today I call it "RESPECT".
As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life, and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow. Today I call it "Maturity".
As I began to love myself I understood that at any circumstance, I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens at the exactly right moment. So I could be calm. Today I call it "SELF-CONFIDENCE".
As I began to love myself I quit steeling my own time, and I stopped designing huge projects for the future. Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness, things I love to do and that make my heart cheer, and I do them in my own way and in my own rhythm. Today I call it "SIMPLICITY"
As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health - food, people, things, situations, and everything the drew me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism. Today I know it is "LOVE OF ONESELF".
As I began to love myself I quit trying to always be right, and ever since I was wrong less of the time. Today I discovered that is "MODESTY".
As I began to love myself I refused to go on living in the past and worry about the future. Now, I only live for the moment, where EVERYTHING is happening. Today I live each day, day by day, and I call it "FULFILLMENT".
As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick. But As I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally. Today I call this connection "WISDOM OF THE HEART".
We no longer need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others. Even stars collide, and out of their crashing new worlds are born.Today I know THAT IS "LIFE"!
- Charlie Chaplin
